You talking about on the coli or in general? In general there is a huge amount of hype for this show. Hell I don't even watch the show or have cable and still can see the massive hype about this season. I wouldn't be surprised if the premiere breaks records.

Empire First Look: Marisa Tomei's Billionaire Cozies Up to Cookie

There’s at least one new character on Season 2 of Empire who might cast a side eye at Jamal and Hakeem Lyon’s latest lyric, “Ain’t about the money, it’s about the power.”

We speak, of course, about venture capitalist Mimi Whiteman, and TVLine’s got your exclusive first-look at Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei in character as the demanding, fashion-conscious billionaire.

Empire showrunner Ilene Chaiken told TVLine last month that Mimi is “one of those very, very rich people who thinks that it would be really fun to own a movie company or to own a music company” — and that the character is proving to be a “thrilling” addition to the show’s sophomore season.

What’s more, the EP told us the fact that Mimi is a lesbian will be more than just coincidence. Pure speculation on our part here, but she does look rather flirty chatting with Taraji P. Henson’s mercurial Cookie, no? (And given the scathing “long tongue” zinger Mama Lyon threw at Naomi Campbell’s Camilla last season, we suspect Cookie’s 17 years in jail gave her at least a little experience with same-sex romance.)
