Cookie and Lucious are way too popular and pretty much the colossal forces behind this entertaining train wreck of a musical soap opera.
Lee Daniels lives vicariously through Jamal, also the go to guy for scenes of music (giving this show's concept some credibility, don't see that happening anytime soon.
Hakeem, I don't really see it, pretty much a buffer to any type of dramatic situation concerning Empire. The face of new age hipster rap artist, next in line to Jamal as far as getting some burn musically.
Andre appears to be backsliding, then questions about his role, seems to be a possible candidate. But by what method
