He wanted to prove his manhood after being kidnapped like a bytch. Think about the word. Kidnapped.
So he went to Anika who was grow as his way of handling the stress and pain from it. When Anika came over, he was with the group and friends. He was in business mode but he also wanted to f the little Mexican girl. He curved Anika. It was sad, she was just looking out for him and he hit her up when she was at her weakest. In other words, both were low but his situation was ascending while her's was descending. She was in a bad position. It's easy to say what you would and wouldn't do but it's just a bad situation for Anika. This wasn't a power move like her getting with Keem from the jump to hurt Luscious.

Just some thoughts:
One thing in my opinion think is going to happen is Hakeem finds out about this dude Laz, given the Chicago Bulls Logo tattoo.
I was telling one my co-workers i think they are trying to model J Poppa after the breh Lecrae. Being that Lecrae is about one of the hottest Christian rappers. That whole Book OF Job scene. If Lee Daniels is in fact pulling this from the actual hip-hop world. And Andre trying to promote a non-secular artist on a secular rap label called "Gutta Life".
Its still early but i think The Dej Loaf/Fantasia chick is going to wind up beefing on wax with Hakeem (it being luscious doing of course). I think it already developing with Hakeem declining to take the USB drive with The Boom, Boom, Bang Bang song. And she freestyling to the instrumental in the whip. Plus originally she has roots in battle rapping remember that one scene? So i think it would be ideal. Plus it'll benefit both with selling records...just think about it.
I honestly feel that characters like Becky & Porsha with her hair are in need of a bit of depth. Like for example in this particular episode it was reveal that Porsha can rap. Even though Cookie said "You ain't got no skills". (Fun fact the chick who plays Porsha DOES have bars imo...sounds like Foxy brown a bit). I think this could be something that they can expound on. Or use this angle to have her write some songs for that girl group.

I could see Andre getting the boot from Gutter Life and trying to get a gospel sub-label started at Cookie's company because Lucious aint having it at Empire.
And I think a lot of Becky's character development is going to come from her and Andre butting heads over his trying to take the "gutter" out of Gutter Life.
