How was he "trolling" on songs like "Role Model" and "Guilty Conscience"? Lyrically, they were some of his best songs. Funny/"goofy" doesn't automatically equal wack. On his first couple albums, even on those types of songs, he still went in lyrically.
Now on Encore, that's where the "funny" songs just became ridiculous. "Just Lose It", "Ass Like That", "Big Weenie", "My 1st single"...I like Em when he's on his comedic shyt, don't get me wrong, but lyrically these songs were just terrible.
song makes sense. it's like the ultimate hipster song. old skool reference and sound....also some old skool eminem references.

he also takes his normal celeb shots. it's exactly what i expect from an eminem single where he insults the intelligence of pop culture.

I'm an Em Stan, and I even tried to force myself to like this, but I seriously can't even listen through it - it hurts my ears. As corny as Not Afraid is, I'd take it over this.
1st verse actually had solid lyrics, I especially like the line "just like I did with addiction I'm bout to kick it," however the noise emphasis on the end of each line is just too annoying. I realize that was to emulate the Beastie Boys sound, but it just sounds bad. 2nd verse started out alright, but then he goes into some Encore type shyt with half of a verse with gibberish. 3rd verse is just wack and the celeb mentions are played, he changes his voice around way too much.
I would dig the chorus if it weren't for the K-Fed mention, it sticks out like a sore thumb. He should have just used the one version of that line throughout the song

UI like it because em is not afraid to experiment with new styles or sounds. This particular song its like he taking a journey to the old skool. But this isnt his best song. Its okay
Admittedly I'm not an Eminem fan but I can quite honestly say this is objectively one of the worst songs I've ever heard.
