This album was refreshing because everybody's standard for Eminem was at an all time low. So yes, it's better than the trash he's been releasing consistently for the last decade plus, but it's not the best album of the year.

I'm OG in this Stan shyt, I enjoy the album but if this is the best album of 2018, 2018 has been triddash. It kinda has though.

Kamikaze is a step in the right direction for Em, still got about 3 or 4 filler joints where he's doing some of the same shyt that people been annoyed with him for.

Its dope...I like it more than Daytona, which was my favorite album of the year. To be fair tho I've only listened to 3 rap albums this year (Nas, Pusha and Eminem) so what the fukk do I know? You're about to get cooked for making this thread.

Bro.. This CAN'T be better than Daytona... Daytona has great lyrics, beats and hooks. This album by Em has great lyrics and that's where it stops. I liked the first four songs all the way through. Then it was riddled with either bad production, hooks or both. In my opinion, while lyrics matter, the overall song has to be good in order for it to be considered a good song. To me this is not close to being a top 5 rap album of the year.. There are many artists who are worse lyrically, but who have created bodies of work that contain much better songs. I think people are just happy to hear Em being aggressive, flowing and giving us great lyrics again. There are glaring flaws that are being ignored.

Em got me back fukkin with him with this one... The last album of his I liked was the Eminem show... It's still a few cringeworthy hooks and parts. But good album. It's probably in the top 5 but I can't say it's the best though ..

Heard somebody blasting The Ringer yesterday while I was in my backyard, and I don't live around a bunch of cacs before you take it there, I stay in the hood.

That being said, he doesn't really make party music or shyt that has whip appeal, that ain't everybodies bag. People have always listened to Eminem for what he was saying, not necessarily the music.
