Eminem's past his prime but I would like to see him rapping over Madlib style production just to see how it would work.

Good, I know he been rumored to drop The Marshall Mathers LP 3. It being a retirement album the only way people outside his core fanbase will care.

He better not pull a Logic, something tells me he won't though

:whoa:We seen what the last sequel was

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
eminem needs to stop getting his punny rhyme inspirations from dad joke books already, that would be great

he needs to rhyme with topics like this again, shock value with clever twist and turns so listeners can't predict what he'll say next, with unorthodox rhyme schemes like mf doom...bottom line, is it entertaining and does it have any replay value without it having some pretentious over-produced superficial hook or soapbox rants as lyrics?

Whatever the case, hip hop has now shown to be as viable as rock and roll. It will get to a "rolling stones" level,( where big time rappers can tour and sell out arenas at 60+) if it's not already there. But the fans of hip hop have to stop abandoning the artists so much. It's been a trend with black music overall for decades. Always on to the next which is good and bad at the same time.

I see the 90s gen going on forever. Snoop will never retire, he can't sit still. Em literally does nothing but rap fast and make wack beats. Dre is about to drop Detox I think. Acts like Wu and Cypress can tour and have a dedicated fanbase forever.

I always thought it sucked when Rock and Soul artists just dropped out to retire. Unless you got some more fun job lined up, and whats more fun than music?

he said on the eminem show before he was 30 on the track (dope record) "soldier" to quote :

Listen to the sound of me spillin' my heart through this pen
Motherfukkers know that I'll never be Marshall again
Full of controversy until I retire my jersey
'Til the fire inside dies and expires at 30
And Lord have mercy on anymore of these rappers that verse me

:hubie: i was out a long time ago.

He's still rapping from the perspective of a teenager mostly. Strong insecurity and angst pepper his songs.

Time really shows all. Meanwhile the GOAT Nas can do kings disease type joints and double back with a magic for the hardcore fans.
