Kingdom Come and HHID are not great albums by any means, but both have bangers too. There are no bangers on Revival. Neither Jay nor Nas have ever spit any lines as cringe-worthy as the dozens of lines on Revival.

Both albums have skippers for sure, and even a few awkward songs (Hollywood on Kingdom Come for example) but nothing as cringey as at least a third (being generous too) of Revival. No matter how much you hate KC or HHID, you probably enjoy at least 5 joints on each unless you really hate Jay and Nas.There are not 5

Your booty is heavy duty like diarrhea? I gotta met her like a taxi? Twist it ma, like an air conditioner knob?

C'mon Em. So many other bad lines too. It reminds of of when Nelly said "You ain't from Russia, so bytch why you rushin'?"

:snoop:
The lines are supposed to be corny. It's a goofy song purposely full of corny and cheesy lines. It's like somebody tells a dad joke deliberately and you're seriously evaluating it on a critical level.

This is the latest info I found on how much this album sold. 323K, Em tried to do a full commercial album, and still ended up not selling well

in the US alone. Worldwide artists usually do double that overseas combined.

In total Em's probably closer to platinum by now and definitely past gold status.

Look at his sales for Germany, Australia, Japan, UK and the Netherlands and you'll get a better indication of his sales as those are the largest music consumers outside the US

I guess we see if differently. I see Eminem as a Weird Al Yankovic type parody rapper that occasionally tries to make serious music and wants to be taken seriously sometimes but is really in his best element when he's being corny and goofy and rapping about dumb shyt that's not to be taken seriously.

Are Nas and Jay-Z ever gonna make a track like Rain Man? Why would somebody compare an artist that makes a song like that to Nas or Jay?

:mjlol: Em would :picard: with that comparison. His #1 priority was always to be taken seriously on the mic.

Then he should have never went down the comedy lane with My Name Is. His fate was sealed when he first blew up. Casual rap fans who skim the music take him seriously but people who go deeper know even if he is talented at rhyming he’s not a serious artist and it gets awkward when he tries to go serious.

"Walk on Water"
Ed Sheeran's hook on "River"
The hook on "Untouchable" (I just like singing it)

Those are the only things that are redeemable about this album. :beli:
