The song still has me like
...but this video
He really hired Spike Lee to film a made for TV movie?
If you listened to the song itself it sounds like he was on a plane cuz you heard a flight attendant saying to buckle their seat belts. When I listened to the song I envisioned that Em was writing the letter while he was on a crashing plane.
If I was doing the video I would have had Em on the plane while its crashing but everything is in slow motion and Em is the only person moving in normal speed and he is just writing the letter. With images of everything Em is saying flashing on the screen (him being a child, arguing with his mom, the videos, etc). Then when the last few lines came in Em puts the letter in a envelope and throws it out the window. And then Em just closes his eyes and time goes back to normal and the plane just crashes (sorta like Brain McKnight's Back To One video).
And then when the hook is playing you just see the letter floating in the air and the letter just land's on Em's mom's front poach. She then comes out the house with the tv in the background with the news on about the plane crashing and who was on board. The last shot is of her picking up the letter and as she is reading it she starts
with Em's spirit in the background watching her.
I mean this would have been a slam dunk concept..but Em wanted to be cheap..
