Even when he works with the best producers, he chooses the worst beats.

This guy uses Alchemist as his tour DJ and got ZERO beats from ALC.

He had Just Blaze on his last LP and he used the joint with the fukkin "what is love" sample:scusthov:

He had just custom make those beats in Detroit... I wouldn't be surprised if he suggested the sample lol. I was actually exited about Eminem working with justblaze. The outcome was horrible. It doesn't matter who he works with, his ear for beats is the problem.

I got half way excited when I read that.

But then I remembered Slaughterhouse's album. That shyt actually had No I.D. on there a few times & nothing good came of it. Had J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Hit-Boy, T-Minus, Boi-1da, & KaneBeatz too -- they're all legitimately dope ass producers too.
But EMINEM has a very specific corny sound that he's going to go for, & that's going to be the outcome, point blank period.
It's not even that the beats are bad. He's just going to approach them in that very specific way.

The only way I'd really believe in the project is if EMINEM stepped out the Executive Producer role entirely & handed that to somebody legendary like No I.D. (or Rick Rubin, or maybe Just Blaze, or Alchemist or ??? -- & hell no Dr. Dre wouldn't cut it anymore).
But I dont think Iovine, or actually even just Em's own ego, would let that go down. He genuinely thinks that shyt's hot! :heh: I dont think he could even get inspired to rap decent if he wasn't following his heart!

& anyways, a truly good Exec-Producer is sposed to nurture out the album that the artists truly want/need to be making at that point in time, so it'd probably get turned up a couple notches if anything!

He needs the Bass Brothers. Beautiful is still the best track to be released post hiatus.

Well, maybe tied with Deja Vu. Either way, both those tracks are miles better than anything else he's released since his "comeback".

Jimmy Iovine has a nutcracker ready for use on every artist signed to Aftermath. It's the only explanation for the level of trash they've been putting out since The Massacre.

He even has Kendrick Lamar doing a song with Lady fukking Gaga. That label is absolute hell.
