I strongly disagree. This Coli narrative of a white uprising is nonsense. Hillary is white for gods sake. This is backlash from #liberalintolerance. Trump got more Latino and black vote than Romney. Saying white people are taking back this country is nonsense. The PEOPLE are taking back the country from corrupt corporate interests.

Trump is the corrupt corporate interest. He literally said that during the primaries that he pays politicians to do what he wants and that he paid Clinton and she returned favors for him LOL. Get off your high horse, Trump tapped into rage and frustrated working class in middle America. This was him framing himself as an outsider when he is far from it. He only became an outsider the last few years but he has always been in the mix for US politics.

I live in Canada and in some places they do have power. It's about expanding though not resting on the status quo.

it's not about resting on the status quo, there is power in numbers or inclination in many states/counties

how you meaningfully go about changing that escapes me

Of course it escapes you, you were for Hillary and against Sanders

A lot of OBVIOUS things escape you my friend

Tell me how this empowerment will come about in America, Friend. Show me how it will overcome the inescapable odds.

Hey, we get it. You don't have the vision to see things that are unlikely. That's fine. Hillary the overwhelming favourite getting demolished by Trump didn't teach you anything, that's cool.

But when Bernie Bros were talking about stuff like hey, lets expand medicaid for all, or lets make public colleges free, you asked the same question :gladbron:

Maybe, just maybe, you guys were... wrong on both fronts :gladbron:

I'm all for but the realities on the ground don't measure up to what you would like to happen.

Realities on the ground don't measure up to what you would like to happen - A Hillary Clinton supporter :laff:

Is the irony being lost on anyone here? :laff:

From the people that brought you : Bernie Sanders is unelectable, even though he made up a 70 point lead against our candidate with zero name recognition.

Point out the erosion of workers rights and protections and decline in unions in a large swath of the country and ask how that can be changed and get attacked for every reason under the sun, Brehs.

These are things I've always advocated on these forums and you damn well know it.

Misplaced anger much?

Grasp for W's in a sea of L's, crehs.

Not trying to find a W, I was genuinely asking. You're both very well aware of the corporate and political opposition, and possibly even dare I say the disinterest of workers to what you're advocating. You don't have to have an answer. It's an incredibly complex problem but being sarcastic isn't going to help your case. Can't even control state legislatures and governorships...

Bernie beat Hillary in Michigan and Wisconsin and they were open primaries. Bernie lost to her in Ohio and PA but they were closed. If you think Bernie wouldn't have fared better than Clinton in the rust belt you are delusional.

Plus, Bernie wouldn't have lost any of the states Clinton won. That's what you don't seem to understand. Bernie would have protected the firewall and that's ALL that needed to be done. Trump wasn't winning Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado.. those are all solid blue states now.
