Embiid is the MVP, followed by Giannis. Jokic can't be a 6th seed winning MVP

I think all 3 of Giannis, Embiid & Jokic have strong cases, it could go any direction IMO and it wouldnt be the wrong choice

but the reasons people use to try to discredit Jokic are just dumb

No one argued Jokic doesnt have a case but his team is the 6th seed. He is also just not only a strong case but he's now the sure-fire fav. Why is he such an overwhelming favourite over Embiid and Giannis other than his race?

They are the 6th seed. Only 1 player in the last 40 years has won MVP being the 6th seed. And in hindsight, it was the wrong decision.

The MVP becomes a joke when the criteria keeps on changing. Exactly what Booker was referring to

If you put Embiid on that Nuggets squad, how many wins you think they would get?

How come Luka isn't in the conversation? Most I heard was maybe 4th or 5th place. He's averaging 28,9 and 9 and has as many wins as Philly and Milwaukee. He could get the 3 seed in the west. He has big wins over top teams recently. His second best teammate is Dinwiddie or Brunson

Why does Nash have more MVP's than Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe and Durant ? Lmao :mjlol::mjlol::scust: Talk about implicit bias. Nash and Jokic are about to stick out like a sore thumb among NBA players with 2 or more MVP's.

Sure Jokic is clearly better than Nash was but its very telling that 2 of the weakest players with 2 or more MVP's in NBA history are white guys.

Doncic is probably going to have the same amount of MVP's as Lebron when he hangs it up. They might even give him the same as MJ :russ:

Wait till its his turn and those white nerd journos give him the same amount of MVP's as two top 2 players of all time. I won't be surprised if he wins 6 actually

he overwhelmingly leads the league in nearly every relevant advanced stat, his raw stats & efficiency are historic too. hes coupling that insanely efficient scoring while being the lead playmaker (8 APG) on a top 6 offense with so so shooting around him and missing their top 2 & 3 players

I doubt you've even watched a Nuggets game this season tbh (dont worry, youre not alone)

. Chris Paul ranks as a top 5 player in history just looking at advanced stats. Advanced stats say Kevin Love has been a more effecting offensive player this season than Devin Booker, Chris Paul and DeRozan.

Advanced stats are just tailor made to his game, the same way they were tailor made to Barkley's game. That doesn't make him the best player in the NBA . According to PER, Jokic is having the best season in history. Do you really believe that? He's not even had the best season in the last 5 years.

as mentioned, his raw stats are unprecedented too - you just want to fixate where you want too but his argument is full proof. he passes every test you can challenge (eye, raw #s, advanced #s)

His raw stats are not better than Embiid's or Giannis'. He's very good but there's literally no reason why he should be the overwhelming favorite for MVP. Again, he's the 6th seed in the weaker conference .

Only 1 player in the last 40 years has won MVP being stuck out in 6th seed and most people look back on giving that guy the award with regret.
