Loves things as is 🖕🏾🖕🏾
You have to remember that people are so used to pointing fingers at others, that self reflection doesn't really exist for some of them.
Ranting about what group x,y,z is doing allows them to vent. Having NO way to control the actions of those groups, that's really all they can do.

Individuals DO have control over their personal behavior and standards. So, when dudes ask for "solutions", most people here can see that it's a dodge.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
While I’m meh about this thread, but this type of thinking has got to stop, any time criticism about the circumstances surrounding black people happen, white people get thrown in.

This is about black people, not whites. Get them out of your minds.

Sorry, I'm a stickler for semantics. The title of this thread is about embarrassment.

embarrassing

adjective

em·bar·rass·ing im-ˈber-ə-siŋ
-ˈba-rə-

Synonyms of embarrassing
: causing a feeling of self-conscious confusion and distress

Let's define self-conscious, ok?

self-conscious

adjective

self-con·scious ˌself-ˈkän(t)-shəs

: uncomfortably conscious of oneself as an object of the observation of others

This is not about Black people. We are not a monolith. WE know that. We have diversity, we represent a variety of human archetypes and characteristics, both good and bad. But more to the point, We can't be embarrassed of ourselves in front of ourselves. That doesn't make sense. Embarrassment and self-consciousness about what our Blackness represents to others though means we are definitely thinking about those outside of our community. Because we are told that one of us represents us all, no matter what we do individually. This is racism. Amplifying white gaze and accepting their rules that the worst of us represents who we are, or how diverse we are. So yeah, no, I reject this whole embarrassment to the community bullshyt.

@NobodyReally
Are there posts of yours here expressing pride in the accomplishment of a Black person that you aren't directly related to?
If so, how do you justify that in light of your views about embarrassment?
