Mars colonization was always a pipe dream, we flat out don't have the capability and won't for at least another 50-100 years no amount of private funding from one or a handful of billionaires will change that.

But man is watching this collapse cathartic, the man personified the 21st century techno-baron nu-wealth stream we've got going on. These people are not trying to help humanity, they are feeding their egos with inane, ridiculous vanity projects that are purely designed to get themselves even more concentrated wealth simply for the sake of concentrating it farther.

I hope Tesla survives, there's no reason tens of thousands of people should be put out of work because Elon Musk is a god damn crazy person.

Why would I be mad at Musk?

It wasn't happen in the next 10 years. But it was taking the right 1st step to do so. Electric cars, efficient solar panels, hyperloops, underground cities and structures, and space flight from Earth to Mars and back again. Musk was hitting all the right buttons. Unfortunately, this fiasco will undermine that effort. The space program is taking an "L" because of this. I'd go as far to say that the human race is going to take an "L" from this, eventually, if he gets railroaded.
