As much as I wish that were true, he lives in an alternate reality where he's only ever seeing the tweets praising him and only watching news that goes easy on him.

Tesla fires burn longer and are harder to put out. Smoke inhalation is usually what kills first, but I have a feeling he'd burn for minutes before the smoke was bad enough for him to suffocate. He would have a slow, extremely painful death.
Sounds like he's referring to intrinsic versus extrinsic motivators. Normal well adjusted people find ways to incorporate both into their decision making and reactions

Elon is likely wired to handle both but his autism and overall loserish traits (nothing to do with business success, more so his communication, lack of charm and likeability, failed relationships etc) has him trying to rewrite the narrative on human behaviour. It has nothing to do with your political leanings and for a man of science to lean into that rhetoric is fukking retarded

I clicked on a couple insane right wing tweets recently, to post them on the Coli in the politics thread. Since then (going on 5 days now) my twitter feed is full of racist and conservative shyt, including constantly seeing every Elon tweet despite me not following him. The algorithm is clearly juiced to amplify right wing bullshyt. Technically it's designed to show you more of anything you click, but if you click a bunch of liberal shyt you won't get the same level of nonstop shyt you get when you click conservative shyt.
The goal is to make people as angry, afraid, and potentially violent as possible. That's the best way to make people more receptive to fascism. I don't think it's a coincidence that Elon posted what's in the OP, which basically argues for eliminating voting rights for large groups of people (mainly women and minorities). I now see lots of shyt like that on the timeline. It's obvious these people don't think anyone should vote except for white men with a certain amount of money or property. And these guys are all working together to elect Trump. And if/when he loses they'll find someone else. This shyt isn't going anywhere. Even a massive Trump loss isn't going to make people realize it's time to go back to pre-Trump politics. They'll just double down.
