fukkin fight meShe should call him out for not making a film we've wanted to see in theaters since 2005 :ariana2:
He has a producer credit on Memoirs of a Geisha too.
She got caught out here tryna be a feminist. That other cacette tried to save her and said The Color Purple was a flop. White people shooting up shyt and running off at the mouth all week. They need to sit down for a while.
There's nothing stopping her from making movies. She should have a lot of Hollywood connections (if she aint blackballed yet ). But yeah, She should have resources to get shyt popping and stop expecting some white man to cater to her. Just like people tell black folks. She's acting like she's helpless in Hollywood. She has a some kind of name and recognition. She should just get shyt poppin on her own.Spielberg has directed 30 films. His overall track record for having females at the front of his films is undeniably poor. Not sure how this is debatable? Same thing with Scorsese. Christopher Nolan's track is awful so far as well.
I guess when it comes down to it there are just some white guys that you aren't allowed to call out.

Elizabeth Banks has apologized for her criticism of director Steven Spielberg, saying he’s never made a film with a female protagonist despite having directed the iconic film “The Color Purple.”
“When referring to Steven Spielberg at the Women in Film Awards, I framed my comments about his films inaccurately. I want to be clear from the start I take full responsibility for what I said and I’m sorry,” Banks said in a Twitter post Thursday.
“When I made the comments I was thinking of recent films Steven directed, it was not my intention to dismiss the import [sic] of the iconic #TheColorPurple,” she continued.
Banks was corrected for the omission on the spot, by actress and photographer Shari Belafonte — daughter of the iconic singer and actor Harry Belafonte.
“I made things worse by giving the impression that I was dismissing Shari Belafonte when she attempted to correct me. I spoke with Shari backstage and she was kind enough to forgive,” Banks said.
