Brazil Manager Dunga Not Worried About Job Status: ‘I Only Fear Death’

Brazil manager Dunga was under immense pressure before the 2016 Copa America tournament began. That pressure only will intensify after his team shockingly was eliminated from the competition in the group stage after losing 1-0 to Peru on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium.

Dunga was asked about being fired or resigning after the loss, and he simply replied (via a translator), “I only fear death. The rest I’m OK.” Dunga is not popular among Brazil fans.

Instead of playing with the normal flair and highlight-reel skill we typically associate with the South American nation, his tactics have produced a style that’s too conservative and defensive.

If I was him I would probably would have chosen a different set of words, I can already see that quote being the opening of a 30/30 trailer

"What if I told you, that sometimes winning is life or death. Killing Dunga: The Day Brazil Exploded"

Was at the Brazil v Peru game last night. Peru fans were out in mass. Low key Peruvian girls looking kinda nice :whoo:

Didn't have a clear view of the goal, but reply shows it was def a hand ball.

Brazil had its chances for sure, couldn't capitalize.
Felipe Luis was hands down the best later on the pitch. He was everywhere.

Fun times, weather wasn't great but being my first international game, that atmosphere was :ohlawd:
