The Norwegian is in the first house. It lives next to the blue house so the blue is second.
Don't know the color of the Norweigian's house but that leaves 3rd 4th 5th, it says the green house is to the left of the white house, so it's either 3rd or 4th. But the puzzle says the one in the center drinks milk, and the green house drinks coffee, so the green house is the 4th, making the white house the 5th.
So so far color wise it's ______, Blue, _______, Green, White.
So NW house is either red or yellow

You out here guessing and seeing if the statements match up
The key:
Dane/ Tea and Beer/ Bluemasters can only be in the same 2 possible rows (2,5). You also know that Pall Malls/ Birds can only be in 3,4,5, so by elimination you put Pall Malls/ Birds in the middle with Milk and the rest just locks into place. Took me about 20 mins but was a good challenge.
A man has a piece of land divided into eight equal squares like what I've drawn above on the napkin. He also has eight sons and he wants to give them each a piece. Problem is each of the sons doesn't get along with whoevers born directly before or after them. And they dont want to share any type of border or have their lands touch.
So allocate that land to each in a way this doesnt happen using nos 1-8 as a place holder for the sons in an order of how they were born.
Go.

for everything else I wrote all the choices in the field under it, ex:

and grayed out the color that I figured out couldnt be in that spot
til I narrowed them down
so far exmple^ as soon as they tell you #1 (left to right) is Norwegian, you can gray out Norwegian (nor) in every other field in that row
