I eat about 3 eggs per day for breakfast along with an almond milk protein shake and a fruit. I thought this was a relatively healthy breakfast with a good amount of protein . However when I ran my daily nutrient numbers on my personal fitness app, it says I should only consume 300 mg of cholesterol per day : for based on a 2200 calorie diet. :wtf:

Three eggs have 600+mg of cholesterol :damn:

How do body builders get away with eating so many eggs as part of their diet?

Do you use eggs in your diet? Maybe I should substitute egg whites, but I hate the taste and I also read the yolk is where all the nutrients are located.

:wtf:

:whoa: I had to throw eggs in the bushes. 1 egg = 62% of your daily recommended cholesterol. Meanwhile 1lb of chicken = 80%. It was a no brainer for me. shyts are a treat for me pretty much.

Damn. I've been eating that breakfast for years now :pachaha:

Checked out the Mayo clinic and they recommend 300 mg of cholesterol. I guess I'm going to throw whole eggs in the bushes too and start doing egg whites. :scusthov:

600mg? You're fine.

Body produces something like 800-1500 and will compensate for dietary cholesterol. Eat less, produce more. Eat more, produce less. Be smart. Moderation.

Carbs, types of dietary fat, exercise, bf% all impacts cholesterol levels. Some people inheret high cholesterol as baseline and some people are just sensitive to dietary cholesterol. Theres a lot of literature out there denouncing the correlation of dietary cholesterol and cardio vascular diseases, also.

Get a blood test and adjust from there. My cholesterol was high when I was 215 (I'm 5'10) a couple years ago. All I did was lose weight and shyt fell back in line. Still eat 3-egg omletes 4-5 times a week. Oh, and those ground turkey meals? :eat:

Depends. I usually fukk with the egg whites by taking out the yoke...

But there shouldn't be any real worries regarding eggs for anyone here, as long as its done in moderation.

Just make sure your daily fiber intake ranges between 25-35g.

Also the ratio of HDL=(good cholesterol) to LDL=(bad) increases from physical activity

Everything should be done in moderation, that is always the key.

I don't each much eggs, but that's because I am not a big fan of them. I only eat them whenever I decide to grab a breakfast sandwich from a deli or maybe even McDonald's

as long as you stick to "The Egg McMuffin or Egg Delight" you should be straight. Every other breakfast sandwich with egg has an exceptionally high amount of saturated fat, for one serving. A lot of them are more than 3/4th of what is recommended for daily intake.

Just do egg whites. Much healthier and still get protein. You can pour them in any shake you make. Easier than cooking up and eating an egg.

Yeah man egg whites are the goat source of protein. Peeps should feel free to go ham on the egg white, but be careful when regarding the yolk. The yolk contains all the saturated fat and cholesterol, but like I mentioned earlier, with adequate fiber in the diet, and exercise(which we all here do), high a concentration low density lipoproteins should be the least of anyone's worries...

I swear that the verdict on eggs changes every couple of years.I did read that dietary cholesterol is not the one that jams one up, rather its the cholesterol that the body produces as a result of too much fat in ones diet. Not that one should go ham on it, but its not as devastating as the literature suggests. Idk though. I try to limit my egg intake to 1-2 times a week regardless.
