How come chicken prices still cool

If farmers had to cull 20M egg laying hens. Wouldn’t that mean there are less hens for consumption? Do we eat egg laying hens or do they only produce eggs then are turned into dog and cat food? Do egg laying hens produce eggs that turn into the chicken we eat? Are dog food prices going to rise? Do cows eat chicken by product causing beef to rise as well?

We need answers!!! Where is Bill Nye or Neil Degrasses when you need them to explain chicken logistics.

There is no executive order for bird flu. Chickens have been culled to keep it under control. Good ole Trump told health agencies not to share info (all agencies are under the Executive branch, which is directed by the President) so people will be in the fukking dark if state and city agencies don't make these things known. I just bought some eggs today and while they were the normal price, the case was empty when I walked up only to be filled shortly thereafter with store brand eggs. I think they are local because literally every other brand was not present. shyts gonna get bad.

A clear problem that has a clear cause. But we somehow have to entertain "alternative facts".

But I found the ones I like and they were around $6 so I bought em even though I literally have a dozen sitting in the fridge. That’ll hold me until they get close to the expiration date lol

I believe that bird flu is impacting these prices, but how can we be sure farmers won't use this crisis as an excuse to inflate their prices?

Companies blamed supply chain issues and COVID for high prices in the last 5 years and while those were fair excuses....companies still posted record profits in that time...and many companies admitted to price gouging.

I don't think that 2 years from now we're going to see a return to normal prices.

I mean maybe I'm just out of touch but do yall really be living that tight that stuff like this impacts you? A dozen eggs could cost $10 per and I wouldn't give a damn. I live under my means so I have a lot of wiggle room. To be honest I don't really pay attention to what eggs or most groceries cost I just buy the stuff I eat.

Eggs gas I don’t even bat and eye when the prices go up or down. I don’t even pay attention lol
