It's about fit though and the problem is the next two drafts are light on PGs while Fultz represents one of the best PG prospects to come a long in a minute, if you stop and look around the league there's a talent gap that seemed to happen out of nowhere for PGs. The best under 24 year old PG is probably Dennis Schroder right now, it seems like PGs take a long time to develop now when they used to just hit the league running.

This stops them from overpaying Jrue Holiday, and probably prevents them from throwing a max deal at Lowry, instead they can take a swing at maybe getting Otto Porter or KCP.

Once again I was the only one bringing logic to this discussion.

First of all, he's not a PG. He's an undersized SG who likes to dominate the ball. And second of all, he's in the same fukkin draft as Lonzo Ball. A true PG.

Man this Markelle Fultz delusion is something else.

Jayson Tatum and Lonzo Ball are the 2 best players in this draft. PERIOD.

He's an undersized SG with mediocre athleticism and shooting ability. He has no attributes that are special. His intangibles and leadership qualities are weak. And the fact his college team won only 9 games is glaring.

If he was being projected as the 5th-8th pick, I wouldn't say anything about him. Because that is more his range. The fact he's gonna go #1 and people are talking about him like he's some amazing prospect is what boggles my mind.

My only mistake here was saying Fultz had mediocre shooting ability.

Otherwise everything else I said was on point.

Not really. Not if you don't think Markelle Fultz is really the #1 player in this draft. If Ainge really preferred Jayson Tatum or Josh Jackson, then moving down 2 spots while getting another lottery pick is a major win.

The only reason you think its robbery is because you falsely assume Fultz is actually the #1 player in this draft.

If Ainge picks Tatum 3rd overall, he would have won this trade in a major way.

Once again I was the only one who saw the Celtics/Sixers trade as a huge win for the Celtics if they picked Tatum.

In terms of pure basketball analysis, I was the only impartial observer saying the Celtics won that trade by getting the superior player (Tatum) and an extra draft pick.

If the Celtics drafted Fultz you know good and well all the Celtics stans would be calling it a great selection.
