Skyler White is by far the worst. She is a shrill. Carmella was a superior character in every way to Skyler. This is universally known.

For the record you're arguing two separate things. Carmella is a better written character but she was a far worse person and 100x more unlikeable than Skyler.

Carmella knew exactly what she was getting into, and still got with a mob guy. Then, 20 years later, had the nerve to throw a fit when Tony ended up acting like a mob guy.

Not only that she constantly tried to take the moral high ground despite being married to a mob boss....never took responsibility for anything....and was basically completely useless without Tony. And she knew that, which is why she started stealing his money to store away.

Hell, the writers worked all of this into their argument in "Whitecaps". She's one of the biggest hypocrites in TV history.

Skyler married a scientist, who eventually turned into a drug dealer/killer. And even then she laundered his money and kept her nose down, until she thought he killed Hank.

So....how is Skyler worse?

Breh, that was the point. That's exactly what her character was supposed to be. We see the same type of shyt in the "reality" shows like Mob Wives. That's the brilliance of her character and Falco's depiction of it. I've personally never understood the concept of likability of a fictional character. All I care about is the character themselves. Tony Soprano, Walter White...these dudes were criminals. They're inherently unlikable yet we love them. Likability is completely irrelevant when it comes to the greatness of character. Skylar was a horrible character besides some flashes of greatness in the final season. shyt, Margaret Schroeder was more compelling

Breh, the problem here is page 1 people were saying she's one of the most likeable TV wives. I'm sitting here like :dahell: because she's clearly a terrible person, and among the worst in terms of hypocrisy. So that's specifically what I'm talking about. Then ol boy quoted me talking about who the superior character is. That has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

:dwillhuh:

The topic of conversation is "TV WIVES", breh. My post is in direct response to someone saying she's one of the more likeable ones.

Whether or not I like any of the characters isn't the point.

I'm saying she's unlikeable because it was stated "she's one of the most likeable and least irritating TV wives". I wrote a quick post because I scanned the thread then responded later, and didn't remember who said it. In hindsight I guess I should've quoted the guy directly.

I feel you, Carmela is a terrible person. I'm not disagreeing on that point. She's a hypocrite and a user. But I like the character because she's played perfectly. She's a strong character that holds her own alongside one of the greatest main characters of all time as opposed to being in his shadow like most TV wives. I like her because of that. Because of how she fits into the overall scheme of things on The Sopranos.

I agree, but like I said that wasn't even what I was addressing. I love what her character brings to the show, and the acting is amazing. But as many times as I've watched her scenes like :snoop: I can't sit here and listen to somebody say she's one of the most likeable TV wives.
