Edge was just vkm's new gen man crush.
Like billy gunn was vkm's past man crush.

Plus vkm never wanted to admit christian was light years better as a worker.
From debut as Christian debuting on raw exposed gangrel and edge.
That edge did not ramp anywhere near christian till the smackdown six.
Plus edgd never really ramped to be a main eventer.
till a scandal was present and there was no real main event talent. As vkm was stuck in his whole bigger is better bullshyt. Combined with his man crush having a scandal.

Only reason you can mention edge and jericho incomparison is both are canadian.

As jericho is arguably the best to come out the dungeon all time and arguably the best stampede worker of all time as well.

Austin retired
Triple H had his reign of terror and was in a feud with Flair I think
Orton was featured prominently on Smackdown
Batista was a champ on Smackdown, then hurt
Benoit on Smackdown
Matt Hardy's return flopped and he was sent to Smackdown

Basically their roster was depleted and they didn't have people who could step up.

Christian really should've been pushed, he proved Vince so wrong in TNA and in his return he actually made the WWE ECW watchable and his Smackdown run was good too.

Damn, I like them both.
I was with Jericho from his WWE Debut up until he was World Heavyweight Champion. I liked his run with Big Show being Tag Champs but Wow when Edge got that MITB X Lita X Rated R Superstar Run, he had the Juice. Dude definitely was doing it Big.
I know for sure that Edge wasn't Wrestling like Jericho, he wasn't Trash but Jericho had more Techniques than Edge.
