eddie would have stole Ghostbusters. :ohlawd: they would have had to make that role bigger because of him

I think he says roger rabbit now in retrospect but I don’t think it would have been a good role for him, tbh.

ghostbusters, though, would have been epic...he might have stole it from Murray

I love Eddie, but WFRR ain't the same movie with him. It works because Hoskins has the foundation of a bitter detective. The hard boiled and the slapstick are perfecy balanced, but I can't see Eddie coming from the same foundation. Not sure it works in reverse.

He did the right thing turning down both those roles. There is nothing special about Ghostbusters...its not a classic.

He could not have pulled off Roger Rabbit right either.

I bet he doesn't feel as bad as Will turning down The Matrix.

Eh, I love Ghostbusters, and to me Bill Murray dominates the movie. It's essentially the story of Peter Venkman, an a$$hole who becomes slightly less of an a$$hole at the end. Eddie Murphy would have undoubtedly been great in the role of Winston, but it would have derailed the movie.

Eddie in Ghost Busters I can see. Roger Rabbit is classic on it's own and I don't see Murphy making it better.
Agreed, in my opinion the character needed to be played "straight" like those old noir movies and im not saying Eddie wouldnt have been able to do it but it would be weird.

This. It would've been a completely different movie with Eddie instead of Bob.
