Tower Heist was a serious crime film? Could've fooled me.Like Tower Heist?

You said serious OR crimeTower Heist was a serious crime film? Could've fooled me.
They are just scripts though. He gave a passing description of these movies. You know nothing else about them. You just saw Parody and 12 Years A Slave and immediately thought trash. From script to screen could be something worthwhile. All I'm saying is, dude isn't doing movie for checks anymore. So he is open to creativity that he wasn't in past films where the circumstances were different. Given that it's Eddie Murphy.....calm down and give the nikka chance. Worst case scenario, the movie is bad. So we have a chance to maybe get some sort of comedy classic and the only down payment for that is time and the possibility that it may turn out bad? I'll take that all day.Nah really? Hey bruh maybe they are better ideas then they sound, but on paper, those ideas sound just as bad as Meet Dave, A thousand words and norbit. He may have just lost all sense of what's funny.
I doubt tower heist is in the crime film section bruh. Nice try.You said serious OR crime
Yeah it's in the bargain bin section.I doubt tower heist is in the crime film section bruh. Nice try.
I realize they are just scripts but those ideas sound as bad as the film's he's been making. Lets pretend we didnt know of those script ideas and if his next movie was announced and any one of those script ideas was the synopsis, we would all be likeThey are just scripts though. More like the garbage bin section.Yeah it's in the bargain bin section.
I never realized that the characters on Nutty Professor are totally new to any character Eddie had done prior.“It’s not just seven characters,” says Rock. “It’s seven characters he hadn’t done before. These aren’t the same characters as ‘Coming to America.’ They’re not from SNL. That mother’s a totally new person.”
Not serious, but it was supposed to be the black Ocean's Eleven. It was gonna have an all-star black comedy cast, but all the stars turned it down except for Eddie. I believe Dave Chappelle and Kevin Hart were some of the ones that turned it down.Tower Heist was a serious crime film? Could've fooled me.
How often do you hear script ideas though? I know I rarely really just hear any. Most my experience with movies are in their final form. Yes there are a number of movie blogs where some guy or gal gets rumored to play a role in the next big superhero movie or something. But how often do you just flat out hear....."Yeah....<insert screenwriter name here> is writing a script and it's about this." and it turns out to be some full breakdown of the movie? That what was said in the article isn't even a synopsis. It's akin to someone not finished with something and having a jumble of ideas and then someone else comes along and asks what they are working on. The quickest way to explain it is by breaking it down into something that they are familiar with. "Uh....well yeah....think parody meets 12 Years a slave and superheroes...."I realize they are just scripts but those ideas sound as bad as the film's he's been making. Well I could seen Nolan stans thinking he can do no wrong with any idea, but if any idea would get the it would be a slave parody done by a white man.How often do you hear script ideas though? I mean clearly you are gonna scratch your head but it's not meant for you to take it and run with it. Its just giving you an idea of where their head is. And again, all you have to do, is do nothing, let the man cook and then give it a look. If at the end of that process it's as bad as a one line summation, then yeah, write the nikka off if you must. But at least let the man cook. And give him the benefit of the doubt, especially if he isn't being driven by cash to do it.
Chris Nolan could have said the same exact thing about the 12 Years parody and nikkas would be in here like dropping smilies like they were new.....
"Yall see that new Nolan the gawd script.........
Well that's a matter of opinion. I think they are........interesting, in the not so typical sense of the word. That's kinda what the article was hitting on, or at least that's what I'm taking from it. You see a parody of 12 Years and you see trash because Meet Dave is still fresh in your mind instead of Beverly Hills Cop. If Eddie in '88 said he was making a parody of Roots people would have been salivating. So because he is admitting he was just collecting checks and seems to have a renewed drive after a hiatus, it makes sense to give that man a chance. Maybe they won't get made, maybe they will. But I'm not about to trash it because I can't quite understand what's going on in Eddie's brain based on a passing description of a script.Well I could seen Nolan stans thinking he can do no wrong with any idea, but if any idea would get the it would be a slave parody done by a white man.
And bruh, I think u looking a little too deep into this, all I am saying once again, is those ideas he has sound just as bad as his recent movies, I don't care how little we know about them. They sound terrible. That was my point. But we will see if they even get made. I doubt it.
