Did you consider the fact that maybe Ross was established in the BP comics for the same exact reason? :jbhmm:
Or do you think literature is exempt from :mjpls:
he wasn't, he was in another comic before bp then became a liaison between shield and tcalla he is a member of shield and no literature shouldn't be

A bit like Black Panther. That CIA character irritated me.
He was the only one that was also in civil war with Black Panther it made perfect sense why he was there tho wasn’t like they made him up on the spot just to have a white guy in it

Arsenio talked about in on Howard Stern this morning (great interview by the way, they talk about everything from the old show and all the stuff going on behind the scenes)
He said it was mandated by the studio and Louie got the part because he was always nice to Arsenio on the comedy circuit

This proves he wasn't inserted into black panther comics for tokenism how? :patrice:
who's the token Everette or tcalla? by the definition of tokenism black panther would be that. since he was written by white men and used as a supportive character to an all white avengers and illuminati before blowing up. all im saying is comics use continuity. Everett ross dealt with powered people like tcalla before like the xmen, avengers and the devil himself and was established in another comicbook series before even thinking about adding him to black panther because he was a fan favorite and just not to tick a box.. is all im saying. every pairing of white people with black isnt tokenism

Asian movies in Hollywood never have this type of force representation

Slumdog didn’t have any white people.

what about that Crazy Rich Asian movie?? I didn’t watch that shyt but no white actors in the top billing.
Only white people in Slumdog Millionaire were the tourists who would get pickpocketed by the two brothers. Beyond that, it woulda been really tough to shoehorn any non Indian in an Indian movie based in the slums of Mumbai.

I thought this type of casting was known by now, it's even a running joke. Sometimes that's what gets your script greenlit

And it's not just for films..

You see it all the time in sports, music, video games: Hannah Storm, Summer Sanders, Rosenberg, White girl from 2K

I remember Louie told the story on Sway on how he got the role. Both probably are true. Studio wanted a white actor in the film, and Eddie remembered Louie's gesture
