I miss the hell out of Eddie. Top 10 (maybe even Top 5): Dead/Alive for sure. I bet if he was still around, he'd probably be working a little bit more of a limited schedule at this point, but he'd still be up that greatness that we came to know from him.
At his height (which was when he passed), Eddy had arguably the greatest mix of in-ring skill, storytelling ability, non-verbal connection with fans, look, and mic skills that the modern era has seen.
What makes it sadder is that he was one of the few in this industry who actually managed to conquer his demons fully and looked to be set for an enjoyable, financially secure retirement to a perfect career.
I wasn't particularly sympathetic to his case until I read that his addictions were mainly caused from him being forced to return to work in WCW much earlier than he should have after a nasty car accident which almost killed him, so it wasn't even truly his fault, unless he was prepared to lose his only job.
One of those few times in wrestling where I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the moment I heard he had died.
His death is the one out of all of them, I remember how big he became right before his world title win and telling people how he was the truth. Everytime I hear here without, I think of him.
