The ends justifies the means.

How many times do you hear announcers saying, ".....but that's the new rule, so its the right call"

Everyone knows, including Goodell, that you cant adjust to a receiver ducking at the last second and causing you to hit him high. And it's even harder if it's a short WR

But the NFL image of enforcing "safety", is more important than the backlash or causing teams to possibly lose games on bs penalties. And guess what? The NFL knows you're STILL gonna watch...fans are STILL gonna fill stadiums. :youngsabo:

It's funny now when I watch football and QB floats one over the middle to a WR, I dont even brace for a big hit from a safety anymore. Either they're gonna get a flag for hitting a "defenseless receiver" or a flag for something else.

I think its a point of contention nobody credible has raised. And by credible, I mean the lawyer appealing the case, the rules committee & the owners.

If Roger Goodell is for player safety then why is a Thursday night football game every week? Surely those short weeks are bad for players.
