i hope this is true.

Roger Dodger and co are just tryna save face by showing they'll even fine a future HOF. At the end of the day, football is a violent game, point blank. The game is too fast, hits will happen b/c players are not robots.
No amount of posturing with lame fines/suspensions is gonna change what happens to these athletes 10-15 years after their career is done.

Just look at how many concussions there have been just teh past 2 weeks alone.

When will these idiot fine givers realize that even if you aim with your shoulder, your head being so close to it makes it seem as if you're leading with your head at times, but not intentionally?

because no appeal has yet to force them to conclude the best possible way to make the tackle in that specific space/time at that velocity according the receivers dimensions

at some point the nfl has to understand that there are situations where legal hits are virtually IMPOSSIBLE

If they can't admit that, then their system of fining people is completely flawed.

They dont care about that.

The ends justifies the means.

How many times do you hear announcers saying, ".....but that's the new rule, so its the right call"

Everyone knows, including Goodell, that you cant adjust to a receiver ducking at the last second and causing you to hit him high. And it's even harder if it's a short WR

But the NFL image of enforcing "safety", is more important than the backlash or causing teams to possibly lose games on bs penalties. And guess what? The NFL knows you're STILL gonna watch...fans are STILL gonna fill stadiums. :youngsabo:

It's funny now when I watch football and QB floats one over the middle to a WR, I dont even brace for a big hit from a safety anymore. Either they're gonna get a flag for hitting a "defenseless receiver" or a flag for something else.
