No one gives a fukk about your vids nikka this was an ECW appreciation.

:gladbron:

Back on topic though Heatwave 98 was my all time favorite ppv in ECW. You had Taz/Bigelow, Tanaka/Awesome before they did it for a full year straigh and one of my all time favorite tag team matches RVD & Sabu vs Jinsei Shinzaki & Hayabusa :wow:

I miss ECW. RVD Vs. Sabu, RVD vs. Jerry Lynn. Sandmans 20 min entrances, Rhino kicking the shyt out of sandmans wife etc. I don't remember exactly what years those were but wrestling was still dope to me in those days.

Heat Wave 98 was a classic ppv. Truth be told, between 97-99 ECW had the best all around wrestling performances out of the big 3.

Hayabusa became my favorite wrestler ever in this match. Hadnt seen his stuff before this. I knew the other three were dope but this opened up a new world for me as i got into puroresu.

That match was PHYSICAL. I remember watching them like they were killin each other. Then the powerbomb you mentioned, Awesome landed square on the back of his head!

:ooh:

Franchise was really good as color commentary too

That Tanaka-Awesome match is one of the reasons I hate watching wrestling nowadays. Strange that I still mark out to matches that happened pre '02, even though I already know what is coming, while if there is a PPV now, I can;t even be bothered to watch the match without using FFWD.

I mean, no headlock, chinlocks, silent crowds. These guys put it all on the line and the crowd sounded their appreciation. Too bad ECW is long gone, as it would've kicked WWE's and TNA's asses in the ratings.
