didn't know Ye was around back then...that was 97...

didn't know about the Lauryn Hill thing either...always thought she was one of those singer/songwriters...she ain't write Ex Factor??? she the only one who got credited...

i think it was more about the music/production side of it. the "real" producers claimed writing credit on several songs if not all of them but i don't think they were talking about lyrics, just writing the music.

Maybe he meant one part? because the beat switches? I dunno. On one hand Kanye did produce a lot for D-Dot and I'm sure there are some we don't know that he did. Poppa Was a Player is one of the famous ones we do know about.

But Benjamins is such a huge record that I feel like we'd have known this before 2015.

Ebro fishing for attention here. D Dot was on Juan Epstein like 2 years ago explaining the whole scene. Only they know the factuals, not no Ebro. Dude stay acting like he knows everything.

Like i always say, most rappers dont come up when the public think they do. Alot of them have been in it for years. Part of it is development. How many get "hot" is either cuz of management/a&r that they might have relationship with or the usual - writing/ghostwritig/co-writing. Thats how MOST of them become blazing in the mainstream, same in the 90s.

Kanye tho was around in the Mase Harlem World days..

Benjamins beat came out in 96, Kanye didnt start fukking with D Dot until a couple of years later. Ebro must be thinking about "Poppa was a playa"

People's timeline is way off. KanYe was still in Chicago during the time Benji's was made. He was mentored by No ID first then he started messing with JD that's why he had beats on "Live in 1492" and "Harlem World". Around 98-99 was when D.Dot took him under his wing and was letting Ye produce but he was giving him "Co-Producing" credit, Ye's beef was he wanted full credit so the "Ghost-producing" thing is overblown. "Poppa was a Playa" was Kanye for sure that was the main beat he was pissed about. I laugh cause fans till this day don't know Ye was working with NaS long before he even met Jay Z.

A lot of Ye's eariler Beats D.Dot got the main credit but again he was giving Ye "Co-Producer" credit like "Just you and I" by Mademen or "Rebuliding" by Goodie Mob. But LOL @ Ye being anywhere near the Hitmen during the Bad Boy Biggie Days. Also KanYe wishes he had a bassline that good as D.Dot cause his baselines weren't hitting like that. Ye owes a lot to D.Dot. D Dot let Ye produce 7 songs on "The Mad Rapper" album including a song with a Young Eminem before people even knew who KanYe was. This is sitll one of my Fav D Dot/Ye tracks:

Here's his Harlem World Track:

Here's Ye's Eminem beat before he blew up:

maybe him biting his tongue on the tracks he ghostproduced in the past is somewhat responsible for the issues he has today.

he is a sellout toy that soldout where he came from.
when he went with the hit men in ny, after he left chicago.
nikkaz, just gave him a pass cause he was with rocafella.
plus, it was 1st and 15th money out there aiding the cover up because of who they were vested with.

At the point I'm ready for everyone to get exposed for what they didn't do. Shatter all my childhood dreams so I can leave this shyt behind. Everything's starting to look funny in the light.

I keep telling y'all,....
I was the only real nikka about the culture.
I been telling y'all this shyt since 99.
I been telling anybody about what would happen since 92.

now, it is reality and I am prepared,....ARE YOU?

Bullshyt. Kanye maybe played on the boards but he didn't Ghost produce that song, Kanye in 97-98 wasn't anywhere near that level of where the AATB beat was, this is re-writing history and taking credit away from an already underappreciated producer.
