Yea tbh the Tatum vs Brown stuff is mid-level comedy, like if one is proclaimed better than the other... cool, but neither makes you think you're watching a 25-27 year old Wade ('09), Kawhi ('17), or Kobe ('06) cooking..

More like if Brandon Roy and Paul George were on the same team, which is still very good.. just not a tandem you'd want to overly rely on without other top tier pieces around them, which Boston has.

good comparison

2011 Mavs

Straight up swept the defending champ Lakers who were still at full strength.

Beat the young Thunder in 5 just a year before the Thunder made the Finals.

Took out the Heat immediately before their back-to-back titles.

Those 2011 Mavs were legit. If you took agendas out of it and just looked at the team and how they played, you'd have to say they're better than the Western Conference Champs on either side of them (2010 and 2012) because they beat both of them easily on the court with the exact same rosters. You could say the 2011 Lakers were a bit more tired and the 2011 Thunder were a bit too young, but that's not enough to account for how thoroughly they were whupped.

People focus too much on how good the superstars are and not on team composition. 2011 Mavs only had one prime superstar and one mostly-washed superstar (and Dirk was a legit MVP-level star despite his defensive shortcomings), but their team composition and coaching were fantastic. 2024 Celtics are a bit ambiguous on top (a superstar and a star? Two near-superstars?), but their team composition is incredible. 2024 Mavs have decent team composition but not nearly as good as what the 2011 Mavs had or 2024 Celtics have.

you thought the Mavs “stole” that game last night? :wtf:
Yes…. Mavs allowed to be extra physical and Boston was getting called for all the ticky tak fouls and super last whistles… shyt was apparent… It literally got the Mavs to the foul line where they could get rythem and bam they knocking everything down..

If Dallas does the same thing they did last night we officially have a Choke alert on our hands. :yeshrug:

No reason this should go 7 games, if it does I don’t trust the Celtics since they’ve been known to crumble under pressure.

I know it’s 0-154 but eventually that streak has to end just like the nfl home team Super Bowl curse that lasted 60 some odd years.

It has to end at some point, but it's not going to end with this one.

It should also be noted that the only team in the 1950's has even brought it to a game 7 in the Finals after being down 3-0.

Impossible to lose 4 in a row

A team up 3-0 has their number

Idk if I can ever see a 0-3 comeback happening in the NBA. Human nature kicks in right, because the losing team is like damn even if we win one it's over anyway. Then the winning team is like we don't want to be shown up being the first ever team to lose a 3-0 deficit in the NBA Finals. The team that's up has too comfortable a lead to where even if they drop a game here, which the Celtics did last night, you think well we only need one more and they need 3 more. And the Celtics are just too good a team to lose another game, let alone 4 straight to this Mavs team.
