DISCLAIMER: This thread is being made with both teams up 3-0 in the conference finals. NO TEAM HAS COME BACK FROM A 3-0 DEFICIT IN NBA HISTORY!!

The NBA Finals matchup is set, and despite a somewhat lackluster conference finals, both the Eastern and Western conference champions are well-rested and prepared for Game 1.

The Boston Celtics have been a force to be reckoned with in the East, winning over 60 games during the regular season. Although their playoff opponents have been hampered by injuries to key players, the Celtics have proven their mettle by defeating the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers. The team hopes for the return of Kristaps Porzingis, whose floor spacing and rim protection will be crucial against his former team, the Dallas Mavericks.

On the other side, Kyrie Irving is set to make an emotional return to Boston. Irving has been a revelation during the Mavericks' playoff run, perfectly complementing superstar Luka Doncic. The Mavs have impressed by defeating the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Minnesota Timberwolves, showcasing their clutch performance and cohesiveness since the trade deadline.

The Celtics, whose core remains intact despite some roster changes, are looking to redeem themselves after blowing a 2-1 lead in the 2022 NBA Finals. This year presents their best chance at a title in recent memory, having faced relatively little resistance on their path to the Finals. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are under the microscope to finally get banner 18 in Beantown.

The Mavericks haven't reached the Finals since their magical 2011 championship run, in which current head coach Jason Kidd played a vital role. Kyrie Irving brings valuable championship experience from his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The question remains: Can Dallas pull off one of the most significant upsets in recent NBA history against the formidable Boston Celtics?

This series entirely depends on if Jason Tatum shows up or not. If he plays to his peak potential every game. Then, I have difficulty seeing the Mavericks win this one.

Kyrie and Luka can definitely win this series if Tatum and Brown do not perform consistently.
