so it was like a kitchen knife? I pretty much only sell stuff in usps flat rate boxes or envelopes, & put on exclusions like must have paypal, must be in 48 contiguous states, etc. it'd probably fit in a medium or large flat rate box,

priority mail medium flat rate box - $11.35
priority mail large flat rate - $15.45

print the labels (instead of paying for them at the counter) so the little bit you charge extra on shipping covers the ebay shipping fees portion of overall fees

A set of kitchen cutlery (mainly knives but other stuff as well. It wasnt that they didnt live in the mainland states, they lived in some I suppose rural area that takes a while to get to. He said normally there are 7 iff shipping options but for this seller there were only 3.

its up to 70 I believe.

I am all about flat rate as well...dont even have to buy a box or tape to ship it in.

I buy and sell shyt all the time, I actually don't like using flat rate unless it make sense, but look at all your options ( I get free boxes from my job) before you pay that much. Who gives a fukk if USPS doesn't ship that? Wrap it up and act like you don't know shyt. This is U.S. shipping not foreign, you don't have to disclose what you are sending. I just made a sale on ebay and of course I put free shipping on it.

Somebody buys the item, sold for $250. I goto FedEx to ship and the shipping costs $60...this item was shipped to somewhere in westbubblefukk Arkansas .

Dude at the FedEx is like yea man they must live in the country somewhere because there is NO REASOn for the shipping to cost that much. Worst part is that was the CHEAPEST option .

This was an item I just had laying around and wasnt using so I paid for the shipping so all-in-all I made $200 on it but still

I guess you guys missed the part that I couldnt use USPS. Im hip, USPS is the first place I went but you cant ship knives through them w/o the ORIGINAL packaging and even then you can only ship it BACK to the manufacturer.

It was $60 because it was being shipped to some hicktown rural area in Arkansas. That was the cheapest option, if I could have shipped through USPS it would cost $27 which is expensive as hell for USPS.

Its Ebay nikka, you just "hide" the shipping price in the sale price. Of course I dint know who was going to purchase it I thought shipping was gonna be no more than $20. Lesson learned, next time I sell something Im not selling shyt to a person in that type of area unless they wanna fron some shipping money as well. At least I learned this from some shyt I never used and had no use for AND didnt pay money for, every $ I made on the sell was pure profit in my pocket.

You TOLD them that you were shipping knives? Why not just conceal it correctly and you should not have any problems. I would have included the fact that someone bought it on eBay. You can always claim you didn't know...hell I didn't know you could not ship a knife set through the USPS...news to me

I was packaging and shipping them at the office, if it was prepackaged and I dropped it off that would have been cool?
