:damn:

I just made a sale on ebay and of course I put free shipping on it.

Somebody buys the item, sold for $250. I goto FedEx to ship and the shipping costs $60...this item was shipped to somewhere in westbubblefukk Arkansas :why:.

Dude at the FedEx is like yea man they must live in the country somewhere because there is NO REASOn for the shipping to cost that much. Worst part is that was the CHEAPEST option :merchant:.

This was an item I just had laying around and wasnt using so I paid for the shipping so all-in-all I made $200 on it but still :wtf:

Check how much UPS charges. If someone lives out in the sticks, or on some island, shipping can be a killer. Also, what Jakarta said. How big was the package and how much was the weight?

How big is the item and what's the weight? Check USPS and their flat rate deals. UPS and Fedex are expensive if you're a regular dude walking into one of their store.

Also, USPS has some cheap ground service but you have to ask for it. Make sure you say the cheapest route your they will give you their priority service.

@Jakarta @Uh Oh @Carné Asada

For those asking for how much it weighed idk, it wasnt that much to warrant the price (other than them living in the hicktown). It fit into one of their small boxes.
USPS couldnt ship it because they dont ship knives unless its in the original container and its only if your sending it back to the manufacturer. Would have cost $27 if I could ship it through USPS

The dude at FedEx didnt even want me to pay for it, he told me to just go back and either get the person to put up more money or just relist it.

I didnt want the hastle, it was an item (kitchen cutlery) I had no use for and didnt pay for

and to @2gunsup I sold it for $255, paypal/ebay took $7 and the shipping was $57 so I got 191

Next time cover your ass by going to the shipping places first and ask them what's the average price to ship the item in the US.

Doesn't PayPal take 2.9% + 30 cents? shyt, that would be more than $7 alone.

You dont know how much the item you are mailing weigh's?...:what:

They weighed it but I didnt pay attention :manny:. I was too :to: and :damn: at the price. Unless its on my receipt somewhere

THats what dude at FedEx told me. But my thing is you dont know whose gonna win the auction til it's complete. I didnt feel like relisting it (I need the bread now)
