And controlling it is the fasted way to aid losing it. Hunger pains aren't always an indicated of your body needing food. You could just be craving carbs or sugar. A very small mount of food to eliminate hunger.

Looking at food as fuel and not a form of satisfying taste buds or emotions is key. You also become more in tune with your body, knowing when and what to eat as well as how its going to affect you. Now sometimes you have to consume more to become satisfied, but again, its all about know your body and how it will react. The time of day, your activities, and your previous food consumption.

That's that impulse eating. I eat bananas, peaches and apples to snack on. I even eat Doritos or peanut butter crackers. Hershey's dark chocolate is good too. But that works for me.

I cut out a lot of foods over the past year but I had to make sure I still could eat stuff I like, but treat it like any other food I eat. It's worked wonders.

I am trying to wean myself off of sugar. If I can get down to 50g I will be happy. If you can keep yourself satiated w/o sugar you are like 10 steps ahead of the game. That's the hardest thing for me to manage during a cut, I have a crazy sweet tooth.

And yea, having a set daily meal plan is key for any diet goals. Also takes out a lot of the headaches of having to decide what to eat, which is a huge hassle for me. I hate agonizing over something so trivial

Do you crave candy or do you crave doughy sweets like donuts?

If its candy, there are options that help

The trick is searching for candies that work well in the 'calories per duration of eating' ratio

Super calorie dense candies like peanut M&Ms and snickers bars can be scarfed down too quickly and are like 250 calories.

Instead I reach for shyt like a roll of Sweet Tarts. 150 calories and you have to take the time to unwrap it for each piece and eat like 15 individual pieces rather than a handful. Also, Dove Dark Chocolate. 3 pieces is 120 calories. Let it melt in your mouth instead of chewing it. 5 minutes of craving-destorying pleasure. Riesen Chocolate Chews work too.

Those three items will satisfy any candy craving for less than 150 calories out of your macro budget.

shyt....I would even argue that they would work on a lower carb diet. 40g carbs for the Sweet Tarts, even less for the chocolates.

None of those and it's why worse.

Ice cream, the premium kind and :heh: at a single serving.

:scusthov: Never that.

The only thing I struggle with is liquid calories though, seems like every thing outside of water is pretty much bound to have you :flabbynsick:.

If u commit to drinking a lot of water every day you won't have any room for liquid calories.

I drink one of these every day at work

And probably have 2-3 cups of water when I get home. That alone cut about 50g/day of sugar out of my diet.

Is that a gallon jug:whoo:.

I don't have too much of a problem drinking water though, Plus, I end up just pissing it all out anyway especially since I'm not lifting too much at all right now. I try to spruce it up with lemon and mint leaves but my taste buds are burnt out on that now.

That liquid sugar is demonic though, being cheap as well (probably why I'm not big on candy/cakes).

Drinking (cold) water definitely cuts down the appetite though, especially when you think you're hungry.

There are easy ways around that (well, not easy for people with a real addiction, but hear me out)

First off, you gotta schedule room into your daily meal plan calorie 'budget'. Yes, this means having a daily meal plan. Give yourself 1800 calories of solid, healthy food.

Second, you gotta find a place that sells single serve ice creams. Like these little 4 oz Ben&Jerry's thats 250 calories:

GetImage.aspx

Third, you don't buy more than one at a time. YES...this means daily trips to the grocery store. Make it part of your post-workout routine or something. Go snag one of these at a time. Never have it readily available to you by stocking your freezer. That's Rule #4080 of this diet shyt.

Lastly, chow down on that son of a bytch every single night after dinner and before bed as the last thing you eat. Make it your daily reward for clean eating. Don't deprive yourself of what you truly enjoy in life. As you are well aware, the craving never leaves you. If you deny it, it will build and build inside your brain until it explodes and you gorge.

I know we have debated about carbs in the past and how some people aren't meant to follow IIFYM because of carb addictions. But IIFYM works. There is no more satisfying diet lifestyle in existence.

Ask me about that double serving of Oh's I just got done with:ohlawd:

This is the thing. With all of the experimenting my appetite really isn't that big anymore. I would easily fit 1,200 cals of ice cream in a week but that's not optimal for performance. The problem is that once that craving starts I'm all in.

My diet is 90% on point but that 10% kills everything. I have gained a little muscle out of it :manny:
