Maybe so but in the real world.Politicians are still crooks once America stands up to big business and so called "leaders" things will get better. As long as they are puppets NOPE.

A few posters really hit the nail in the coffin.

We're heading in a terrible direction and until we as a people realize, we'll continue down a road of self-destruction. We're all so divided but there's an illusion in place to make us feel connected.

But when it comes down to individuals, we mostly only care about ourselves and the things we need to do for ourselves. Like a poster said earlier, we have to focus on surviving because our society really isn't built upon togetherness, it's built upon a fierce competitive nature and individuality. Is that a bad thing? I don't know but I think this attitude is the reason for a lot of the issues we face as human beings in the world today.

OP is right, and I think a lot people need perspective.

Simply go back 100 years. You could get a paper cut and die from an infection (no antibiotics). You always had a big lot because you expected a few of them to die.
Women were confined to housework mainly because housework was full time job (no affordable machines or package foods)

There was major war almost every other year, and millions of people died in wars.
Violent crime was much more prevalent than it is today.
