Early buzz: Goosebumps movie getting good initial reviews

*sigh* I know. I feel like an angry old man at 22 lol. Yelling at kids nowadays cause their shows suck. I remember my older family members saying the same thing about the shyt I was into as a kid. But I just can't stomach shytty remakes of stuff from my childhood. Kids these days don't know any better so I can't fault them for that.

shyt "are you afraid of the dark" was a better show than it. This one episode is better than that whole tv series

Yeah this was my favorite show as a kid. It's weird realizing now that people like Ryan Gosling started their acting careers on that show.

I think about that all the time. There's plenty of stuff I watched as a kid that the older kids or adults around me thought was trash. And they had it better in their day. Older kids would kill us for watching power rangers because they saw it as a remake of voltron. Shyt doesn't bother me anymore for real. I've accepted that there are kids after me who deserve their day in the sun just like I had mine and that at the end of the day my opinion doesn't matter as much as theirs when it comes to something like the new turtles movie. If it makes them as happy as the 1990 one made me then I'm good with that.

but it had some wild art work

That's a very healthy way to look at it. I'm gonna try to adopt that way of thinking in the future. I don't want to grow disconnected to my younger family members because of my inability to understand their idea of a good show/movie.

I mean think about it like this: When your mom or dad or older whomever took you to see the movies you loved as a kid, I'm sure they didn't always enjoy them but they sat through it cause you were happy. Moms took me to see ninja turtles so many damn times because I'm her only child and that made me happy even though I know she was not a fan of the movie...or the 2nd one..or the 3rd one but neither of us liked the 3rd one. And looking back at the 2nd one, I can't believe she didn't rip her eyes out.

Oh yeah the first movie still holds up but after that the next good turtles movie didn't come out till 07. I watch turtles 2 the same way I watch mario bros..purely for the fukkery completely aware that neither one of them are remotely good
