In those days If you had real platinum fubu your weren't considered dusty. These jeans and jerseys were over $100 a pop

Yeah them joints were expensive as hell back then now looking back on it that shyt would look terrible now. I had a few Fat Albert hook ups but after I graduated high school I was pretty much done with FUBU altogether though.

Black fashion hasn't been very good over the past 20 years.

The black fashion line that has been consistent imo and hasn't went over the top and has changed with the trends is Sean John. I can find a pair of Sean John pants that fit but Sean John has always ran a little big though. Funny thing is they make clothes that you can wear at the office job. Which a lot of urban trends doesn't offer. The main reason I been buying Sean John damn near 20 yrs.

This might be the WOAT era. At least before we were wearing our own styles and there were a lot of black owned clothing companies. But all of a sudden nikkas wanted to dress like Brett Michaels and Tommy Lee. I did rock Trues tho

lol in the pre-militant SOHH days I made a thread saying Jacob The Jeweler was the dumbest thing hip hop ever created. The idea of rich black men lining up to throw tens of thousands of dollars at some random jewish guy making him rich while they go broke and get nothing in return should be an embarrassment.

nikkas called me broke and a hater and I shouldn't tell rich people what to do with their money :mjcry:

Nah bruh that was the dumbest shyt ever nikkas wasting thousands (sometimes hundred thousands) on jewelry that was gone make them a target to get robbed or shyt that would be played out in a few years. A lot them rappers was fronting like they owned the shyt they was wearing in the videos but they got it on a loan. Making the jewelers rich while dumb ass rappers frontin' in they songs and going broke at the same time. That bling-bling era was the start of the decline in hip-hop imo.
