by the time i got to hs in 2000 no one in nyc that was fly was rocking fubu

fubu fell off when i was in the 7th grade.

Yeah I think by '98-99 it was a wrap on FUBU. I used to have the baseball jerseys that cost an arm & leg and I remember wearing one of them to Cedar Point in '96. By '98-00 those jean jackets & pants outfit were in style because I had like 2-3 pair along with a pair navy blue-blue jean Timbs.

I was too lazy of a dresser to do any of this shyt and i remember when all these styles was popping. To me the best style is no style really, black shoes straight black jeans (not that tight fakkity shyt) and a plain t-shirt, maybe one with a logo here and there, and no jewelry or hats of any kind. When you rock the latest fashion, IMO it makes girls easier to categorize you, and thats bad.

Always remember, the man makes the clothes, not the other way around.

I prefer that look over what's going on now. Everybody tries way too hard to be Artsy Wop and it looks bad.

I rock liquor store clothes nowadays. I'm bringing the fresh out of jail look back. Lol shyt was fire. I'm trying to look like an extra on The Wire.

Just because people wear cuts that closer to the body doesn't mean they look better or have better style than cats who dress like this. Style is about symmetry I think, and I think this style is far better than what I see everyday. At least this style makes sense.

we need to get back to that rugged shyt like @Rebelmbc240 said

It's fresh to me. I updated it with color and closer fitting cuts, but it's basically the same thing. Lol, if white people don't cross the street or look at the ground then I don't look rugged enough.

Black people need to return to the time where the sight of a group rugged nikkas made cops and white folks think twice.

Lmaoo @ looking like a wire extra. Marlo always had fresh LRG on deck. I dont know if it was intentional but one of the first times they showed him on the show, his shirt had fold creases on it like it was straight off the shelf and his AF1s were laced like they come right out of the box. I was like :ohhh: "wow dude LITERALLY stays fresh" :russ: Early seasons of The Wire are a good time capsule of the 2000s look, just like the first two seasons of NY Undercover showcase the GOAT fashion era of the mid 90s (airmax 95s, tommy, walker wear, etc...)
