Were they kicked off the #1 gaming network bad tho?
They had the EU trade commission directly address the loot box monetization - which had never happened in history before. EA almost fukked up the bag for EVERY dev/publisher in gaming with that Battlefront II nonsense.
anthem should have gotten the plug pulled from all platforms. piece of shyt live service with zero content
damn straight. anthem was bricking consoles :dead: . wasn't just messy - it was deading entire units. unheard of. didn't have the excuse of a pandemic or cross gen development either. just forcing their own people to use frostbite when it had already caused problems on two other premier titles for the same studio.

Battlefield 4 released in an equally broken state as cyberpunk.

Battlefront 2 had an equally controversial launch.

This is the first time a company has gone through such steps to correct a broken game launch and it's making headline news.

Let's be honest, if any of these companies came out with a notice to offer refunds for a broken game, Sony would quickly pull that shyt from their store.

If Bethesda told sony to accept refunds for fallout 76, that shyt would have been gone too.

Sony ain't bout to have a bunch of people buy the game, beat it, then ask for a refund. If sony cant enforce their strick refund policy, then they dont want anything to do with your game.

I take it you never heard of Star Wars Battlefront II...

That is still the worst most controversial game launch of all time...

EA followed that up with Anthem...
That reddit post from EA about BF2 is still the most downvoted comment of all time:lolbron:
EA's comment on a Reddit thread about 'Star Wars: Battlefront 2' set a Guinness World Record for the most downvoted comment of all time

667,825 downvotes.

for perspective, number 2 on the list has 88,906 downvotes.
