shhh-kull & bones
Judah have I loved, Esau have I hated! -GAWD
your question reminds me of a line from a famous poemSo I guess we're all for the death penalty now?
'...dont ask for whom the bell tolls...'
but with all due respect my dear breh, anyone who would commit such cold and heartless acts is,in a lot of very significant ways, already dead
now given, to dylan roofs' mind he may have rationalized his actions as part of his duty as a soldier at war---( guy pretty much confessed that)---but theres really not much honor to what he did
War in ancient times dealt with the honor principle and part of that honor is about sacrificing for a higher cause
So he pretty much knew he was making a sacrifice and knew there was no coming back--so the death penalty may actually have been part of his plan anyway--so you can say he chose that way to die
Now the death penalty has always been debated ever since I was in grade school--should it be allowed should it not--some states have it others dont
see but nobody brings up the issue of protecting civilization from degrading to savagery--which is what that penalty(hopefully) is intended to do
other ancient cultures had more advance ways of dealing with folks like dylan roof without necessarily killing them phisically but still protect the light of civilized living
you can say these ancient cultures knew how to heal or keep their people from getting to that wicked state
other then these prisons and faulty educational and pscychiatric systems are there really ways to keep people from getting to that state in todays society?
Is this society breeding these guys?
see Its not just dylan roof that was on trial and got sentenced to death
but part of you and me and this very society that created us was on trial too
dont ask for whom the bell tolls---it tolls for you and me--it tolls for the whole society
