You rarely if ever saw anyone openly claim to be gay in the 50’s but we know they existed.
People spent their whole lives being gay but living as straight people with families and all. My best friend’s wife’s dad came out as gay at 50 plus after having 3 kids.
The less hurdles to jump in society, the less people are afraid to openly be non-normal.

It's common sense, but even worse it's been studied and found that 60-90% of kids who 'transition' end up reverting back to their real gender. But people refuse to listen to the science and instead let them permanently mutilate their bodies to solve a mental issue.
