Rose+Wade = no shooting....they're talking about this on ESPN since IT supposedly isn't ready till January. You can start someone and still manage their minutes well. But for the first 2 months yeah he should see more 6th man time.

As a standalone - Wade is a better player than JR, but he's not an "upgrade" over JR for the Cavs - they're basically on the same level for the simple fact(s) that despite Wade's scoring ability/production as a #1/#2 option he's not going to be that for the Cavs (it's meaningless referencing how many PPG he had last season, he's not going to average anywhere near that this season due to decline and role), he's not going to provide the floor spacing that JR does, he's not going to provide the shooting the JR does, and he's not going to provide the sporadic defense that JR does - all the things that this Cleveland team needs.

Basically, all the things that Wade has over JR (ability to create his own shot and playmaking) will be offset by what he concedes to him (floor spacing/shooting and defense).
