its really hard to tell what the cavs will be. they have a ton of depth, but how do all these pieces fit ? this is going to be very interesting. they have got their work cut out for them for sure to try and make this a cohesive unit.... defensively i dont see how they can be any good. still have a 6'9 center that isnt very athletic, and kevin love in the frontcourt. IT,Rose,Wade,Shump,Calderon,Smith in the back court? the elite teams are going to feast

Y’all forget Korver had 25 minutes per game which helps with spacing but admittedly is a liability on defense. But they also still have crowder and shump for the time being.

So basically you have one shooter, and no defenders with a Rose, Wade and Korver lineup. Doesn't really push the Cavs in the direction they need to go in now does it? If I.T. comes back healthy, they'll most probably need to phase Rose or Wade out of the rotation. No point having two guards on the bench who can't shoot or defend - Shumpert's bordering on being one of those too.

By giving money back for his buyout with the Bulls and subsequently signing with the Cavs he only made out with 300k more than he would've made with Miami's offer. I dont think they're losing any sleep over that amount

He's really not. At least JR can stretch the floor and hit shots and play defense sporadically. Wade really can't do any of that.

Wade can at least create his own shot. If Lebron struggled, the Kyrie had to step up, nobody else could. Now you have a guy in Wade, although old, can still create his own shot. JR Smith cannot create his own shot, nor hit shots consistently, and his defense stinks. Wade>Smith

I hate to break it to you, but Wade is no longer that guy. This ain't '94 Joe, we can't go back. Smith is still a 1000x better shooter than Wade, and he's a better defender than Wade. Since Rose isn't capable of shooting/defending, they need the other guard to at least do ONE of those things, or even do both things at irregular intervals.
