I stopped during the Ellen video. I was :beli: at the dancing but when he went into that Finding Nemo story doing all the voices I closed that shyt.
:ohhh:The more I think about it the more I'm happy the sixers got Bynum instead of Dwight

Just think about it, do you want your starting center to be on female talk shows talking about finding nemo and being some soft nikka:beli:

Or do you want a real nikka like Bynum who's a goon and gives nikkas elbows when they come to the rim and doesn't give a fukk:stopitslime:

I'm taking Bynum :win:

And that's exactly why there's a good chance Melo might not pick up his player option in a couple of years.

You know two years.......when the Lakers will only have Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, and a ton of cap space. :shaq:

you can have him now

I already know that for the next ten-fifteen years, neither the Knicks nor the Jets are gonna win a championship ring. I will bet all my coli cash and my membership on it

p.s. you want Melo in two years? when he's even lazier, fatter, chubbier and more ball-hogging? :usure:

"ball-hogging" won't be an issue since Nash would still be here. Melo has been his most effective and had the most success when playing alongside a great floor general.

As for him being fatter and Lazier, all we'd need from him is about 15 ppg. If a player is skilled enough they can get away with being out of shape, just look at Paul Pierce.

Nash will not be there in 2 years...quote me on it.

Also Paul pierce can and always has played defense. there are key stretches in the game when Melo doesn't even try, no communication, no box outs, no effective rebounding, nothing.

What you think Nash will retire in 2014?

As for Melo not playing D, So? I mean seriously, everbody has known this about Melo for years, so why are Knick fans so mad about it? Did yall think he was just gonna magically start playing D because he was in New York.

I sure as hell don't expect Steve Nash to become play any sort of defense any time soon, but every other starter on the Lakers is a solid to great defensive player.

Trust, if the Lakers were to nab Melo they'd also be bringing better defensive players along with him. Not to throw rocks (because I actually like the Knicks and want to see them be relevant) but The Lakers owners and GM's actually know what the fukk they're doing.

And the Knicks FO absolutely sucks, I'm very well aware of that. When he got here, didNT expect Melo to magically start playing defense or w.e. but it's kind of fukking frustrating knowing and seeing someone not even make an effort. It's one thing to be bad on defense when you try and you communicate and what not and another be just not giving a shyt but w.e.

And in 2014, Steve Nash will be 40; despite his excellent training, diet and strict workout regiment, I don't think he'll want to play past 40 especially if the Lakers win at least one ring off the two years that Nash is still around.

It's always frustrating when a player seems to refuse to do things that can make them better. Amare is almost as bad as Melo when it comes to not playing D.

That's pretty presumptive on your part. Grant Hill will be 40 by the start of the NBA season and Jason Kidd will turn 40 in March. More players than people realize have played in their 40's. I could see Nash playing out his full contract.

And even if Nash were to retire the Lakers will have a ton of cap space with some quality PG's on the market (Parker, Wall, Bledsoe).

Wrong. Amar'e tries...he's been up there getting blocks and shyt...problem is he's just not that good of an overall defender

Grant Hill has missed a chunk of his career due to injuries and he doesn't have as many miles on him, and Kidd is now a back up to Raymond Felton....I hope you see my point. I think Nash has a career beyond playing a PG in the NBA while Kidd's "questionable" (whatever the fukk that means) character will not give him as the same opportunities that Nash will have

I'm not wrong, I know Amare tries sometimes but he's ultimately not good at it, which is why I said he's ALMOST as bad as Melo.

No doubt Nash has more opportunities. I just think you're underestimating how much Nash might enjoy playing. Some guys have plenty of money and championships but still (for various reasons) continue to play.

this is why i hate these threads. somehow, it always turns into a hatin' session about what we cant do.

Remember when Kobe was washed up and done after the first round of the 2010 playoffs?

Remember when Bynum was never gonna be healthy, play a full season, or be an all star?

Remember when Dwight was never gonna be a Laker because he was going to Brooklyn or Dallas?

Remember when Dwight was gonna miss opening night and be out till January?

It's always something. :leostare:
