No...There are security firms that can identify this. Most are b2b like Pindrop, unsure if there are any b2c companies, but I know the technology has been in the market for atleast 3-4 years Now.
Once the request is sent as unknown..the company that is making the call sends unknown...
The security firm will call the security department of both companies and request the information...the called company will not have it but will have details that Matches the call...and with the confirm match..they can then be sure it's the right call..
But imagine a software that will querry into phone companies database and pull out numbers...if u guys have this in the USA...just start suing them right quick.
