I'd be wary of anyone that labels themselves "White". Those that do are more than likely practicing racism or are racist.
When someone labels themselves "White" it only tells me they have disassociated themselves from their ethnicity or cultural background in favor of color that arose 8000 years ago (making it fairly new). Especially these people from distant lands (i.e. Middle Eastern, or those people that are kind of off-"white" in appearance, e.g. Armenians, Syrians, etc...). 'White' culture doesn't exist because the skin tone is new, and the term even newer ("White" classification arose less than 600 years ago, so it is very new if we use historical standards) so a person that forgoes tens of thousands of years of culture and history for something as superficial as "skin-tone" and is proudly classifying themselves in regards to their skin-tone is more than likely a racist.
I can kind of understand how original WASPS would classify themselves as "White" because they dissociated themselves from their original land and culture by intent and force (i.e., Revolutionary War), but people coming in from Armenia or Syria labeling themselves 'white' as if it means anything or comes with a culture outside of brutalization and demonization of the "other" (it's original intent was to separate people based on superficialities) are foolish at best, and racists at worst.
You don't hop off the plane from your original land where your grandmother, her grandmother, and your great grandmother's grandmother lived and then classify yourself as "white" lest you have major insecurity issues and want to practice racism your damn self.
The reasoning doesn't apply to Black people, because like the original WASPS we dissociated from our land and culture, but unlike the original WASPS it wasn't because we wanted to. We were forced to by them.
Some references for further reading... (A lot is being illuminated as I learn more about the origins of skin color and the anthropology of different sects of Europeans. The term "Caucasian" is a non-scientific term created by a racist because he was too lazy to understand the differences and varieties of people in the world.)
