Once again, that would immediately make it ineligible. You have to state your willingness to die to multiple levels, including the Dr, medical board and presumably the government since they do checks to make sure you died humanely and the Dr did the right thing.

If that's truly what someone wants I feel they should have that right. My only concern would be is the person making the decision under a sound mind and judgment. If it can be determined that they are they should be allowed to do it.

this. ideally the approval process would also require people to resolve any legal or financial responsibilities in advance. and a mandatory waiting/cooling off period after everything is set.

i've seen people in hospice or elders who had a fulfilled life, but now physically suffering with very poor quality of life. why shouldn't this be an option?

I think there's other options when you're totally done with your current situation. What do you like to do? Just go do that. Start doing hard drugs or fukcing random people or blow your savings on an RV and ride out.
