Unless they finally have a hot shooting night, this looks like the end of the line. Auburn is exactly what their ranking says they are. Pettiford is the guy who I think will burn them as he's tailor-made to exploit drop coverage schemes. He's also played well in all of their big games so he's obviously built for those moments.

Or... I suppose if Auburn is going to miss a bunch of 3s and see if they can match Michigan in stupid turnovers that could have a similar effect.
Honestly this game (ugly af) is sort of in Michigan's favor at the moment, but I don't think Auburn's shooters are getting terrible looks and I expect the uncharacteristic turnovers to be cut down I expect Vlad to get going in the second half and hopefully Danny keeps it going.
Right as I turn to the game auburn makes a three and we immediately turn it over into commercial break 
Hopefully embarrassingly blowing leads isn’t going to be a staple of the dusty May era

Well, the second half went as expected for Auburn. 
Anyway, it was an A season for Michigan in year one of the Dusty May era. The lack of guard play ultimately killed them, we saw exactly why they're being connected to guards in the portal. They did overchieved expectations, so you can't be too upset.
They need two bigs and a lead guard. I wouldn't be upset with firm handshakes for a few guys. If you can chase Christian Anderson out of last year's class (oops!), then you can tell Tschetter et al their services are no longer required.

I like it he seems like an actual lead guard who can kind of shoot it (33.7% from 3), hopefully it translates better than Roddy Gayle. They were looking at mid-major scoring guard (Jalen Jackson) and honestly I prefer this kid. Between LJ and Trey [McKenney] they don't need another one of those.

Unless I missed someone (Walters hit the portal) they have 10 scholarship players at the moment and the scholarship limit is 15. They also have 3 underclassmen walk-ons and iirc walk-ons are no longer a thing, so idk what will happen with them. If all are given scholarships that means there are 2 scholarships open, but it could be 3 if Nimari decides to leave.

We brought in the UNC PG so that we have an actual PG. That moves him off ball but he’s not a great shooter plus he’d have direct competition from our freshman guard McKinney and LJ. G had no guarantee of the same sort of minutes.
