Nah, they're just not as good as their record indicates and are "lucky" to be finishing the regular season on a three game losing streak instead of six. Per Torvik Michigan was ranked 13th in offensive efficiency before the Minnesota game and the have fallen to 130th since then (last checked before the Netrashka game).Team just looks worn down and out of synch
They were picked to finish 9/18 in the preseason and they certainly have middle of the pack talent. Imo, it really is a testament to the coaching staff that they could get a team with mediocre guard/wing that doesn't value the basketball to be a top 3 team in the conference. I'm interested to see what Dusty does with his NIL assurances and guys he develops.
Unfun fact: the last time Roddy Gayle hit a 3 was January 24th and before that? December 29th.

Y'all on a skid, but what the best thing will be is getting out of B1G play, facing fresh opponents who haven't scouted y'all for the past 4 months. First 2 rounds there should be no one that can defend the 2 bigs, which should be wins to get the confidence back.

I'll be honest.. I kind of checked outta hoops about 2 weeks ago. I knew what time it was. The positive in all of this, is that it's only year 1 of Dusty's tenure. You know he's gonna play the NIL game and attack the portal hard as hell.
They need shooters, and thankfully in next year's 2 man class, they can both shoot (McKenney and Grady) Throw in a solid portal class, and the # of scholarships going from 12 to 15.. all of that will help.
